President and
Vice President
Retire After 25 Years.
Our President Marilyn
S. Mann and our Vice President Stephen Jenkevice Jr. have officially
retired from the Board of Directors of National Missing Children's
Locate Center, Inc.
Stephen Jenkevice Jr. started working on Missing Children cases back in
1979, 28 years ago. He was an investigator and licensed Bail Bondsman in
Los Angeles, California. In 1979 he was asked by a Sheriff Deputy from
Arizona to find his abducted children taken by the non-custodial parent.
It took two weeks to find them in Los Angeles and contacted the
custodial parent with the news. The father went to Los Angeles and with
the help of Stephen took legal possession. Stephen decided that this is
what he wanted to do for the rest of his working life.
Marilyn S. Mann
hired Stephen as a bodyguard for her grand-daughter who was about to be
parentally kidnapped to Mexico. The plan was foiled by Stephen who
opened a detective agency in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Marilyn decided that
she wanted to be involved in the new Missing Children's movement. She
became the President of the National Missing Children's Locate Center,
Inc. and the Oregon Child Custody Protection Association in 1981 & 1982.
They have closed down the headquarters in Portland, Oregon and canceled
their office lease. They are in the process of turning over the
organization to the Los Angeles office. There are some problems that
need to be worked out before the hand down can be completed. NMCLC had
no assets to turn over to the possible new Board of Directors. If the
problems cannot be resolved NMCLC will be dissolved.
